Road Weather Alert
Lingering Road Snow Tuesday AM

Forecast Period: Now through 6 PM Tuesday

Text Updated: 4 AM on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025

A weak storm system continues to drift southward across the state of Utah early this Tuesday morning.

Spotty snow showers are ongoing over much of the mountainous terrain in Central and Southern Utah. This activity will continue into the day, where spotty additional road snow accumulations are expected until around midday. Warming road surfaces and slowly lessening snow shower activity is expected to make for quickly recovering road conditions by Tuesday PM.

Snow has largely ended for northern Utah, but a few mountain routes remain snow covered from earlier snowfall. Some patchy road snow/ice is possible for northern Utah mountain routes early Tuesday morning before road surfaces warm through the day. Expect to see no road snow issues after 10AM Tuesday for the northern portions of the state.

Motorists are advised to use caution and TravelWise. Motorists using canyon and mountain routes should be aware Traction Laws may be enforced.
